grave
in the
Evergreen
Cemetery
in
Ocala
.
Thigpen
was an
unknown
man
who
died
on an
Ocala
street
and was
buried
just
after
a
4
acre
public
burial
ground
was
set
aside
by the
city
.
Thigpen's
first
name
was
unknown
until
this
photograph
was
examined
in
1964
and as a
result
the
headstone
was
rededicated
.

.
